About the Speaker Series

The Texas Politics Speaker Series brings to the UT campus people from across the political spectrum and from all levels of government to discuss compelling political and policy issues. Speakers and topics are selected to engage students and the public, while providing insight into how the political process works.

On Tuesday, March 25, at 3:30 pm in Gebauer 3.312, Texas political writers Harvey Kronberg and Ross Ramsey visited the UT-Austin campus for a conversation with moderator Jim Henson about the implications of the 2008 primary elections for Texas politics. You can view the complete event using the video links below. Kronberg and Ramsey talked about the outlook for the general election, the state of competition between Democrats and Republicans, the Speaker's race, and surveyed the Texas legislative races to watch. Harvey Kronberg is the founder, editor, and publisher of Quorum Report, an online political newsletter dedicated to Texas politics. Ross Ramsey is the editor of the political newsletter Texas Weekly.

Be sure to explore the rest of the Texas Politics website for interviews with participants and lots of information about Texas politics and government.
