1.1    Most Recent UT/Texas Tribune Survey: June, 2014

The June, 2014 University of Texas/Texas Tribune Poll found Attorney General Greg Abbott with a 12-point advantage over State Senator Wendy Davis in the election for governor to be held in November. In other statewide match-ups, State Sen. Dan Patrick leads fellow State Sen. Leticia Van de Putte by 15 points in the race for Lieutenant Governor, while Senator John Cornyn leads Democratic nominee David Alameel by 11 points in his attempt to claim another term as Texas' senior Senator.

The survey also asked about a variety of attitudes likely to inform the 2014 elections, including: education, abortion, immigration, and general attitudes about gender equality.

The University of Texas/Texas Tribune internet survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted May 30-June 8 and has an overall margin of error of +/- 2.83 percentage points.
